THINGS YOU PROBABLY DIDN’T KNOW

Here are 5 facts to know about Cineolio (number 2 will finally satisfy numerous people that have been asking).

  1. Cineolio is an Emirati private company that was founded by Nawaf Al Janahi in 2020.

  2. Al Janahi created Cineolio’s name combining two words: cine (learn its meaning here), and olio (learn its meaning here).

  3. Cineolio’s Cinenights screenings per year have increased from 2022 to 2025 by more than 500%.

  4. Cineolio is the only company that represents the UAE at Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Market in France annually since 2023.

  5. Cineolio’s internships took interns from various countries, including Egypt, France, India, Kenya and the UAE.
